ETHEREAL WEAVE
What was once an ordinary bathroom is now re-imagined as a luminous retreat that is deeply personal to our client. To mirror her lifelong passion for handcrafted textiles and the artistry of weaving, we selected an ikat-like wall-covering that connects her love of global craft traditions with the intimacy of her daily rituals. With soft glowing mirrors, the warmth of a fireplace, and refined architectural details, the space embodies serenity infused with quiet drama.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS
The client’s passion for ikat and other woven textiles became the starting point of the design. The wallcovering introduces subtle movement and cultural richness, grounding the space in a narrative that is both personal and universal.
Deep green tones envelop the room in calm, while layered lighting from warm backlit mirrors, dark bronze ceiling lights, handcrafted and organic clay wall sconces, and the glow of the fireplace, adds character and depth. The sculptural tub anchors one corner of the room, positioned to capture the warmth of the fireplace.
Expansive and sumptuous chocolate brown counters reflect the glimmer of brass fixtures and were intentionally designed as a place for the client’s journaling and meditative practices, reinforcing the bathroom as a site of ritual and reflection.
The dramatic shower enclosure pairs leather-finish black porcelain tiles with herringbone-patterned green cement tiles, creating bold contrast accentuated by gleaming brass fixtures. A full-length ledge provides both function and elegance, weaving everyday practicality into the luxurious composition.
The result is a sanctuary that honors the client’s love of craft and transforms it into an environment of light, pattern, and serenity.
